I grew up in Burbank, CA before attending the University of California Santa Barbara, where I attained my BA in Film and Media Studies with a minor in English. While at UCSB, I was a member and core officer of Poets' Club and was part of The Catalyst Contemporary Literary Arts Magazine. I went on to attend the University of Exeter in the UK for my MA in Publishing, during which I was a Poetry Editor for ENIGMA Literary Journal, and ultimately graduated with Distinction.
I started writing poetry in middle school, thanks to my seventh and eighth grade English teacher Fred Keeler. More than a decade later, I write thousands of words of poetry and prose per year and want few things more than to get my work published. If a literary agent is reading this, I am unrepresented and in need!
I am also a singer-songwriter and visual artist. Much of my childhood was spent hanging around my dad's at-home recording studio, and his talent for all things creative seemed to pass down to my brother and I. My family is the reason why I have such a love for music, photography, filmmaking, graphic design, and arts and crafts. You can find samples of my work in the other pages of this website.
While in the pursuit of publishing my writing, I hope to utilize my literary eye by establishing myself in an editorial role in the publishing industry. I’m also interested in film researcher, script editing, and script reader roles – I didn’t get a film degree for nothin’! No matter the industry, I want to be the one making sure that the finished product is the best version it can be and that great writers are recognized.
